Last updated: 29 October 2026. This notice covers tastie.co.uk and the restaurant application and contact forms on this website.
Who is responsible?
tastie. is a trading name of ACORN RESERVE LTD, company number 13242218, registered in England and Wales. We are the controller of information submitted through this website. Write to us at Queen Street Chambers, 68 Queen Street, Sheffield, South Yorkshire, S1 1WR, United Kingdom, email hello@tastie.co.uk, or use our contact form and select “Privacy request”.
What we collect and why
When you enquire, we collect your name, business email, restaurant name and postcode, and any phone number, website address, menu files or other details you choose to provide. We use these to respond, assess your requirements and prepare restaurant setup. Please only upload menus you are entitled to share, without unnecessary personal information.
For business enquiries, we rely on our legitimate interests in responding to prospective customers and operating tastie. Where you enquire as an individual or sole trader about a contract with us, we may also process necessary details to take steps at your request before entering that contract. Providing the required fields lets us identify and respond to your enquiry; optional fields can be left blank.
We process messages to answer questions and handle privacy requests. Our lawful bases are legitimate interests in providing support and, where applicable, compliance with our legal obligations. Submitting an enquiry does not subscribe you to a marketing mailing list.
Website operation and security
Our hosting provider Cloudflare processes technical information such as IP addresses and request information to deliver and protect the website. The application uses a daily hash derived from an IP address to limit repeated form submissions. We do not use this to build an advertising profile. Decisions about restaurant onboarding are made by people; the form only validates details and applies submission limits.
Who receives information?
Authorised tastie. staff can review applications and messages. Cloudflare provides hosting, database and private file storage on our behalf. Project Mail provides our private staff inbox, with Brevo sending enquiry acknowledgements and our replies. These emails use your contact details and enquiry reference; uploaded menu files are not attached to automated acknowledgements. We may also disclose information when legally required. Menu files are held privately rather than published by this application form. Your restaurant’s menu will be agreed with you before publication.
Cloudflare operates internationally. Where personal information is transferred outside the UK, applicable adequacy arrangements or contractual safeguards are required. You can contact us for information about the safeguards applicable to your data.
How long do we keep it?
We keep enquiries and uploaded menus while they are needed to respond and progress setup. Retention depends on whether you become a customer, whether an enquiry remains active, and any applicable legal or dispute requirements. We review records and remove information that is no longer needed. You can ask us to delete an enquiry that you no longer wish to pursue.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability of your personal information and object to processing based on legitimate interests. We may need to verify your identity. Contact us using the details above. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Cookies and analytics
Google Analytics is optional. If you select “Accept analytics”, we use it to understand visits to our pages and count completed restaurant applications and restaurant enquiries. Our lawful basis for this analytics processing is your consent. If you reject it, the Google Analytics tag is not loaded. Your choice does not affect use of the website or forms.
Analytics receives page and referral information, browser and device information, approximate location and cookie identifiers. We remove query strings and fragments from the page addresses we send, and send only the referring website’s origin. We do not send your name, email, telephone number, menu files, message or application reference to Google Analytics. We do not enable advertising personalisation, Google signals or automatic tracking of form fields.
The _ga and _ga_… cookies help distinguish visits
and sessions. They are configured to expire after 60 days without
extending that expiry on each page view. We remember your cookie choice
in your browser’s local storage under tastie-analytics-choice-v1
for up to 180 days. This preference storage is necessary to honour your
choice. If browser storage is unavailable, we can only remember the
choice while the current page is open.
Use “Cookie settings” at the bottom of any page to change your choice. Selecting “Reject analytics” stops further analytics collection and removes the analytics cookies we can access. It does not undo processing that took place before withdrawal. Google provides the analytics service and may process information internationally, including in the United States, under applicable transfer safeguards. See Google’s privacy policy and how Google uses information from partner sites. Contact us using the details above for questions or privacy requests.
Other website resources
Cloudflare may use essential security technologies to protect its services. Some pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which receives the technical request needed to deliver them. Form progress is held in the open browser page and is lost if you close or reload it before submitting.
Ordering food
Restaurant links take you to the restaurant’s ordering website. Its privacy information and ordering terms apply there. This website’s restaurant directory does not take food payments.
