Getting a takeaway in Holyhead

Williams Street is where Holyhead’s takeaways bunch together: Holyhead Kebab & Pizza at one end, Pizzeria La Gondola and the Mandarin Kitchen along it. Market Street, a short walk away, has Holly Molly Kebab & Pizza, Mete’s Smash Burger and the Green Garden. Jambo is on Market Square, Green Island is on Newry Street near the harbour, and Hong Fu and the Agra are out along London Road.

Chinese is the town’s strongest suit, with six Chinese takeaways on this page, more than every other cuisine put together. Four takeaways take orders online: Holyhead Kebab & Pizza, Holly Molly, Mete’s and the Mandarin Kitchen. Holyhead Kebab & Pizza delivers out to Trearddur Bay, Valley, Rhoscolyn, Bodedern and Llanfachraeth, with a small charge that depends on the village.

Deliveroo doesn’t list any restaurants in Holyhead; its nearest coverage is Rhyl, about 77 km away along the coast. When we checked on 1 November 2026, Uber Eats showed just a few places for the town. Chanthi’s Thai to Go on Stanley Street, by the Market Hall, is the one Thai option, open Monday to Saturday evenings.

Good to know: if you’re staying in Trearddur Bay or Valley, Holyhead Kebab & Pizza lists both in its delivery area. For the Chinese takeaways, most are collection, so ring ahead and walk down to Williams Street or Market Street.

How we choose

We list independent takeaways in Holyhead that you can order from direct, either on their own website or by phone. National chains, cafés and delivery-app-only listings are left out, and so is anywhere with a food hygiene rating below 2. Nobody pays to appear, and being listed does not mean a takeaway uses tastie. We checked every listing against its Food Standards Agency record and the takeaway’s own listings (its website, social media page or directory entries) on 1 November 2026. Menus, prices, opening hours and delivery areas can change, so check with the takeaway before you order.
