Why takeaways choose us

Why takeaways choose tastie.

Your own ordering website does more than save you commission. Your customers become your customers, not an app’s. You can bring them back with offers by text and email, and every order lands on your counter. Here is everything you get, in plain English.

0% restaurant commission. Your customers pay just a £1 service fee per order, so you keep every food order’s value, minus card fees.

1. Keep more of every order

Delivery apps take a cut of every order. With tastie., you pay 0% commission, no set-up fee and no monthly fee.

  • Your customer pays just a £1 service fee per order. That £1 is how tastie. is paid.
  • You pay a small card processing fee on card orders, at a rate we agree with you in writing before you start. Cash orders have no card fee: your customer pays the £1 service fee in cash, and you pass that £1 on to us.
  • So a £25 order means £25 of food sales for you, minus the card fee.

2. Your customers, and their details, are yours

When someone orders through a delivery app, the app keeps their details. You cook the food, but you can’t contact that customer again. They belong to the app.

With tastie., customers order on your own website, so you build up your own customer list: their names, phone numbers, email addresses and what they’ve ordered. That list belongs to your business.

Think of it like a loyal customer’s phone number in your back pocket, but for every customer who orders online.

3. Send offers by text and email

Because the customer list is yours, you can use it to bring people back. Send a text or email to all your customers at once:

  • Quiet Tuesday? Text “2 for 1 on pizzas tonight” and fill the oven.
  • New on the menu? Email everyone a picture of your new dish.
  • Haven’t seen someone in a while? Send a “we miss you” offer.
  • Special days: Christmas opening hours, a football-night deal or a new delivery area.

Messages go only to customers who have said yes to hearing from you, and every message has an easy way to stop them. That keeps you on the right side of the law, and it keeps your customers happy.

500 free texts every month. Each free text includes the link to your ordering website, so every offer brings customers straight back to order from you. Extra texts are charged at cost, with nothing added. Emails are included.

4. Your own website, with your name on it

  • Your own ordering website, on your own web address. If you don’t have one, we give you an available .co.uk or .com for free.
  • Your logo, your colours and your menu. It looks like your takeaway, because it is.
  • No rival takeaways listed next to you, tempting your customers away.
  • Customers order from their phone. There’s no app for them to download.

See how it looks in one of our demo shops. They’re made-up takeaways, so nothing is charged.

5. Set up for you, from a photo of your menu

You don’t need to type anything in. Send us a photo, a PDF or a link to your menu and we build your online menu for you. You check it before it goes live.

  • Sizes, toppings, extras and meal deals are set up as proper choices, so customers order exactly what they want.
  • Need a price changed later? Just tell us.

Tips for a good photo are in our menu photo guide.

6. Orders print on your counter

  • We lend you a SUNMI V2 or V3 order terminal for free. It stays the property of ACORN RESERVE LTD.
  • New orders pop up and print on the counter, so the kitchen sees them straight away.
  • Free printer paper is included.

More about it on the order terminal page.

7. Collection or your own delivery, your way

You choose how your takeaway works: collection, delivery with your own drivers, or both. You set your opening hours and where you deliver to. tastie. doesn’t provide couriers, so you stay in control of your service.

8. Easier for local people to find you

  • Add your ordering link to your Google profile so people can order straight from Google. Our step-by-step guide shows how.
  • Takeaways using tastie. are listed in our free “order direct” town guides.
  • Put your web address on your menus, bags and window. Every order it brings in is commission-free.
